I use these mate, LG HG2 3000mAh, they're decent batteries although they cost a bit more than the samsung 2500mAh batteries which are also decent. Amazon or eBay but look at different sellers as there are fakes out there...

I have been using www.nextdaybatteries.com

Great value, next day delivery, only good gear. Batteries are way too important to take chances with, so to my mind using a reliable UK source is essential.

There is a guy on eBay trades as Ecoluxshop who sells genuine stuff. I used him in the past when I had shipping issues from HK.

On Ebay either Ecolux or Torchy (ebay name is Big f_d_d)

Both trusted sellers with genuine goods, no knock-offs or shitty re-wraps that'll set your head on fire.

At the moment, I'd suggest that Samsung 30Q's are the best bang for buck, decent capacity, decent discharge ability.

Anyone had any experience of the Fenix 18650 with the micro USB charge port built in?

Curiously by coincidence I have one on my desk at work...

It appears to work as advertised but is a couple of mm longer than other 18650s - which happened to be exactly what I needed!

I have heard they did that so that only fenix batteries can be used in their products.

My input - got a couple of the fenix 18650s around including the higher capacity option and they all work fantastic. I have never know batteries to have such built in protection before.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
