All this Peak District talk put me in touch with a mate who says we once did a route in the Peak called "East canal via Filthy Five"... dare I ask were the hell it was, he is adamant it exists??? He assures me I was there to.. something about rather a lot of clingy clay too???
I had probably had way too much drink on Sat night to care!! :lol:

Bottom end of Giants Hole. IIRC Filthy Five five are the pitches down stream of St Valentines Sump, which first has to be bailed. The pitches are generaly done as a "pull through" as the sump rapidly refills.
East canal is the terminal sump of Giants - quite a serious trip!
We inhabit an island made of coal, surrounded by a sea full of fish. How can we go wrong.......

Then I didn't do it !!! I'd remember Giants if I'd been..... I was dubious when he said it ::)
