Whats the price of these lamps?

Saw a different make last Thusday, that was over £200

Similar lamps to these have been in use at Hopewell in the FOD for a few years.

Our lamps are EN Approved however they do not yet have full ATEX certification. We hope to have this in place some time this year.So no they cant be used in coal mines at the mo.

Cheers James,
I told my butty about your lamps,as he deals with Polish imported lamps, and yours seemed reasonably priced,it was he that told me about the CE.

When they are approved, would that effect the present price?

I would suspect the prices will go up but will remain competitive. I spoke to your mate yesterday about his polish lamps, they looked nice. He was a bit confused about weather out lamps were CE and yes they are.

Good, that's what I'd like to see.

A lot of LED lamp manufacturers seem to use 1 or 2 reflector/driver combinations, I was wondering which, if any it is. The one you'd think is cheapo crap is actually very good indeed. Read- better then my Cree/Optic rig.

I went to the Canton fair (not for caving/mining stuff) and got to see a lot of the latest Chinese/Asian stuff and there were some truly impressive things.

I wouldn't touch the lighting market with a massive stick, but there may be some milage in mining lamps. I had a chat to a manufacturer of something which would have required a CE mark and they were only too happy to sort it out. All of this shouldn't be a problem to get sorted.

The days of mine explorers using oldhams are wearing thin and it will be interesting to see what replaces them. My bet is on head lego and this generation of new caplamps. However, us lot will want something that can heave some photons out the end.

The Halo lamps use a cleverly put together optic set up where as the DULA all in one uses a conventional reflector. Whilst doing a lot of market research on cap lamps from around the world we had allot of Chinese samples but we just didn’t think they were up to the standards of the likes of Oldham who have led the marked for all theys years. This venture is something we have not taken lightly as it has taken some years to get all the right products for the UK market and we all know the British like there build quality quite rightly so.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
