Talking of FR wagons, anyone have a nice photo of the FR hearse? A friend of mine wants a framed picture for the office wall, (a funeral director) :ohmygod:

Would it be a realitivly easy task for me to photograph it, or is it stored indoors?

It should be indoors. We could go and have a look when you're next down if you like.

The hearse wagon is stored (on public display) in the WHR(P)'s
main shed adjacent to Gelerts Farm Halt, along with the Dandy Wagon (complete with stuffed horse!)

The hearse is a converted quarrymen's coach - you can see the four door frames inside.

Here's a photo of the mystery wagon #166 and rated to carry 2 Tons of whatever it is that it carries. I would imagine coal as its very similar in size and design to the wooden coal wagons.

Cheers for that Merddin. Barney mentioned it having been converted from a slab wagon, by the look of the photo it must have been one of the LWB slab wagons.
