What a difference to how it is now! Overhead gear all intact, etc etc. Plus, it is in good condition and not rotting away to iron oxide dust!

The trouble is Eclipse has now got so bad if anything is done to it it will be a "replace with new steel job", like has already been done to the very early Wingrove (blue) in the "museum" at Llechwedd. That totally destroyed the character of the loco, getting rid of 80 years of quarry knocks and bangs.
