Hi, RE. the repair work being done at Level Fawr.
Will this impede access to the second tube and thence
to the second truck?:)

Not at this time. That is phase 2 and will need further approval, however the work starting next month will put the route above the skipway out of bounds. The ladder routes up stope are in a different part of the workings and not affected

Off topic. Is there accsess to frongoch mine .. Had a look around the area not long ago didnr want to venture in as its near to someones house 😞

Yes there is :smartass:
Roy's work again, and I am sure he will give more details.
There is an entrance (not the mouth which is a flat out crawl in a stream.) This gets you into the 24Fm level with plenty to see. I understand there is also access up to the previously lost 14Fm level.

Do a search on here and see what turns up, also look at Roy's web sites. :thumbup:

There is no underground up at the main site, access is below the Wemyss dressing floors by a shaft down to the adit.
The route to engine shaft is not yet open I'm afraid, but still plenty to see.

Be sure to replace the manhole covers on the adit shaft properly when you exit please. Also, if you dont do the stope swims water is wader depth max.

Up in the 14, the obvious crawl is a bit horrible towards the end, also the fall area which blocks the 14 further inbye is an unstable area so take care.
