No I'm afraid not, the tall gritstone built Market Place bridge and the one on Bulling lane were both sadly destroyed leaving the small bridge only, the bridge at Crich is the Bowes-Lyon Bridge originally constructed in 1844 named after the foundry that cast it. The bridge was originally at the Bowes-Lyon Estate, Stagenhoe Park, Herts and was donated in 1971.

The tunnel at Crich is still there but blocked but can only be seen south of the market place.....
Been fun doing this one as I have had nothing but help and allowed full access to whole route by the people of Crich.... many photos and paper cuttings given and many cups of coffee....
Sad that the people of Crich all seem to miss their railway and many believe a walk along the route would be a nice way of conserving its heritage beyond the few advertised sites. It is hard to trace but worth it when you do.
The Fritchley incline on the other route is a great piece of engineering.
Regards

Are the buildings at the tram museum original, or built for the perpose of representing what was there previously?

I dont believe any of the buildings are original apart from one small shed, the rest were bought there by the museum and re-assembled.

The Red Lion pub came from Stoke. It was demolished to make way for the A500 "D Road" in the mid '70s.
We inhabit an island made of coal, surrounded by a sea full of fish. How can we go wrong.......

Sorry to bump a thread over a year old, but three of the building at the tramway museum are originals. There's acouple of small buidings that were weighbridges and what I believe was the forge and workshop for the mine. This building is hopefully going to be fully restored this year using a Lottery grant and will contain a display on the Stephenson company, etc.
