I've just seen this on eBay. Any comments? What battery would it use?

It's an "Oldham" bottle lamp, probably 1930's to 40's vintage. Can't tell you the type number of the battery, just that it would be lead-acid and circular in shape.
To switch on and off, the top part of the lamp is rotated slightly, bringing the contacts together.
A huge number of similar lamps were Military/Naval but this does appear to be mining.
