I'd vote for the Cambrian Mines Trust (got to keep Roy in RSJs) and Midlands Cave Rescue Organisation (MCRO)

I'll go for Cambrian Mines Trust and the S&MWCRT too. Roy is doing such sterling work.

The calendar is off to print, and I'm not sure yet where the money is going to go this year.

Firstly we need consensus as to whether it's all going to go to one cause or be split as it usually is.

The we need to decide where it's going.

Current voting has one clear winner, but no real picture for who a second beneficiary is to be:

Air Ambulance 1
North Wales CRO 2
Cumbria Ore Mines Rescue 1
South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue 3
CMT 7
Lancashire Mining Museum 2
Cleveland Mining Heritage Society 1
Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team 1
Midlands CRO 3

--

So I think we need to decide if the money is going one way, or two, then work out which CRO to support.

C.M.T. a clear leader, so split between them and a rescue group.

Although we have donated to Cambrian mines trust before, we have seen the preservation and access work being on-going from them. Another donation will enable further good work by them.

OK, it's been decided 🙂 This year's beneficiaries will be:

Cambrian Mines Trust - this was already decided

South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team - one of two that was decided that we have not donated to yet.

The calendar will be ready to order on Monday 27th.

--

Next year it would be nice if the money went to other groups we've not donated to, and perhaps further afield.

Do we want to reconsider the decision?

This is a tricky one.

If it were a CRO rather than an MRT I think it would be a much easier decision.

But as we've already publically announced where the funds are going I feel it would be very discourteous to the SMWCRT to change it now.

How about I pin a thread containing a link to the CBMRT Just Giving page so anybody who wishes to contribute to them that way can do so?

I think we should stick with the CRO already decided, matter of courtesy, I agree Simon's comments.

I agree with Simon and Roy's comments above. If Simon puts up the link I am sure that many of us will contribute.
