For those who knew Ivor, I have been told this evening that he has died earlier this week.

Very sad news indeed.
I have known Ivor for many years, and his interest in Shropshire mining was extremely important in the setting up of the Shropshire mining group.

Just to let people know that Ivor's funeral will be held on the 2nd May at 12:15 in Sandal Methodist Church, Barnsley Road, Wakefield. SatNav location: WF1 5NU.

The family have asked people to wear something bright if they wish.

Also, if you attend the funeral and are member of one of the many Clubs and Societies that Ivor was involved with it would be nice if you could wear a Club or Society clothing.
