Most members will have probably heard of Ken Brown, a Cornish mining expert; you may have some books by him about – I have a series of 4 “Exploring Cornish Mines” published from 1994 to 1999.

Along with David Bick (who died in 2006), Ken was regarded as one of the top experts on engine houses and stationary steam engines used for mining.

Ken had a stroke before Christmas and later returned to his care home; however he passed away on 4 January, aged 91.

Gutted. Knew Ken well. Shared a cup of tea or two with him here in my house.:(:(
poke around long enough and you'll find something..

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
