'Old Maps' shows an engine just about where the sinkhole is.

There is a series of filled in shafts all the way up the hill. There is one trial level half way up with an open steel collared shaft infront . Horrific amounts of soil and stone are working its way in. Looks like water is doing some work in the system and is likely all a result of last winters rain.
