The Moldywarps Speleological Group (MSG) Journals are now available on line via the North York Moors Caving Club website:

Mainly caving but also some mine related stuff. An absolutely great resource and a bloody good read to boot.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Maybe I should have promoted that some time ago as I scanned all the buggers in ! ;D

If anyone ever needs an uncompressed version give me a shout as they are about 50Mb each, the web versions have the quality reduced down.

Quite a lot of mine stuff in there, particularly the details of the years of exploration and mapping of Devis Hole in No. 12

Fascinating material, we had a trip into Smelt Mill Beck in 1969/70, it made you realise how sinuous many members of the Moldywarps were.

The next day there was an earth tremor in a fault nearby, that has always left me wondering what it would have been like if that had happened whilst we were in the cave:)

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
