A member by the name of Tricky690? He pm'd me a couple of weeks ago saying he had some info (presumably about FoD mines) which I would find interesting and asking for my phone number. I don't give out my number to people I've never met before so I asked him to pm me the info. Since then nothing, no response to pms, zilch.

Google that userID, there are a few relevant hits, possibly the same person, mostly TripAdvisor posts and the occasional twit and something about a squirrel. No footprint on AN.

Hi

Just before I went to France, he also pm'd me as well. Message reads: Project we have been working on over the past 6 months,that involves Oakwood mill and near by sites, I think you would be very interested to know what we have found out so far, as it seems to be a very sore subject.

He's also left his mobile number, so I'll call him back over the next couple of days

Hmmm, I'm not aware of anything controversial regarding sites in that area. Unless you're not a member of RFDCC, GSS or Hades in which case access restrictions apply. The only people getting ansty about access were certain members of darkplaces and I think that's all water under the bridge now.

One other thing, Oakwood Mill Deep is closed due to bad air, created by rotting timber put in when the road was widened. Access is available via FODCCAG who are always helpful. Info on how to contact them via the RFDCC website.

A thought occurred that Tricky690 might be talking about South Oakwood in which case there is a fish farm below Tufts level and they can get annoyed if their water is muddied.
