Does anybody know about interesting books about mining in Wales, in Welsh? Preferably the non-coal variety? Thanks!

There's "Calon Blwm" by Cyril Jones, about the community and lead mine at Dylife.

The "Llyn Peninsula Mines" by Wil Williams, is a small book that if you reverse, has the same content in Welsh ("Mwyngloddio ym Mhen Llyn")

I don't know how accessable it is but a group have been meeting for about 20 years and recording North Wales mining memories (mostly slate.)

Fforwm Plas Tan y Bwlch is the group and they are in Welsh. Plas Tan y Bwlch would Know what was avaliable. :smartass:

Geirfa'r Mwynwyr, Steffan ab Owain, Gwasg Carreg Gwalch, 1988, 68pp.

I bought my copy for £1.50 in the Llanberis Slate Museum a couple of years ago. In addition to a glossary of terms the book includes lots of photos and diagrams illustrating aspects of metal mining in north and mid Wales.
