I am thinking that every regular user of this site will appreciate what Dickie is doing. These photos are a totally invaluable record of a lot of what has become lost, beside being pictures of a quality rarely seen elsewhere.

I am thinking that the entire collection is worthy of grouping under "Info, Reference and Documents" possibly with my heading as above?

What think all.

Agree totally Roy. I know that we seem to be raving on about it, but those photos, both in their technical quality and as an historical reference, are works of art. Just fantastic!

This could be done with a link to this:

http://www.aditnow.co.uk/photos-mines-quarries/?uid=1661

Since its possible to view all photos for any member, linked from their public profile page.

Or... How about doing it with a Lightbox? That way Dickie could specifically choose which photos to place in a collection rather than putting all of them in.

Agree. Those pics are really nice. The photo of the month is brilliant... tempted to print it out and frame it!

Received my copy of 'Old Metal Mines...' a day or two back and I'd concur with the quality of the pictures.

Bradford Barton are pretty good at reproducing B/W but these images really are outstanding.

Roy, it could even be named after his, book which sparked off your own photography interest.

Could I suggest, Yesterday's Gollcondas part 2?

I bought my copy from Caving Supplies and I can remember looking through it when it arrived. Took it over to Maureens same evening and showed her Nenthead. "We have just got to go there"

Housebound virtually at the moment with a problem with my left knee, the black belt is looking a bit distant, but I suppose it will get well.

Have a good Chrismas John and my regards to the family.

Roy,
It was one of the first things you told me when we first met and the thought has been with me ever since.
Digressing a bit, paracetamol is good for pain, but not too many at a time, and do not force yourself to do things quickly.
If you stick to this recipe, like me, you will still be able to go through Hethers!
