Could it be the shaft just 'upstream' (NY945414) from the main Brandon Walls site?

well spotted. I would say absolutely that it is brandon walls.

actually part of the thorney brow iron mine, but mostly known as brandon walls

At the moment it's a well-travelled shaft, must get to the bottom:) of it's location and get it in the right place. Short of any better excuse John, in his wisdom. didn't annotate it.
