Given that Drakelow was off I did Statfold instead which was still on but only fielding 7 engines on Push & Pull with the large Mallet on the new two track section. On Display were the two Quarry Hunslets from Canada MICHAEL and KING OF THE SCARLETS as well as the newly aquired Indian WW1 Baldwins. Attendance was poor due to the weather but picked up later. For those who could not make it I am told tickets will be honoured for next event. The brand new Severn Lamb coaches were there too.

Nice photos - any chance of posting photos of the Baldwins?

Whilst the engineering at Statfold is second to none I do feel that their interprtation of what constitutes a narrow gauge railway is a bit too nice and shiney for my liking, this is after all industrial plant we are talking about.

At Morwellham I look after several battery electric locos (Wingrove & Rogers W227s for the nerds amongst us). Whilst keeping the locos mechanically sound my approach is to keep them looking like they have just come off contract.

Any idea when the next event is?
Thanks.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
