One of the incidents was in 1751 as you probably already know.
Parkes Level drained Beldi Hill but also drained Swinnergill, however Swinnergills owners refused to pay any of the £300 cost.
When the area was declared worked out, the owners of Beldi Hill blocked the level mouth and turned water into a shaft, flooding Swinnergill.
