I came across some photos of an abandoned mine in Siberia that are quite interesting. But what on earth is this?

Looks like some kind of fungal growth.

I always have wondered if certain types of ores impede fungal growth - ie copper etc.
Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
