This Final Photo in this series of enlargements shows the nameplate of the operators, Edgar Allen and Co, who were based in Sheffield and worked the mine for Wolfram. Curiously enough, the present address of H.M.Inspectorate of Mines is Edgar Allen House in Glossop Road Sheffield. The detail on the original print is outstanding to get such detail from so far away. The camera would have probably been fitted with a 6 inch focal length lens, or there abouts onto a 5 by 4 inch plate.
