The flag on the map seems to point to what I think was Floyds shaft, this is capped and built on, more or less in our back wall. I think the actual Wheal Florence was a little south on field/common boundary nearer the engine house, all that's left is this mound with one of those (often nicked) cast iron notices "Danger mine shaft" which you might just see on this pic
