The lowest level driven into Trewey Hill from the rivulet that flows through Zennor Churchtown; it serves as a decant point for Rosevale Mine but operations were never carried out here in the 20th century. The RHMS in recent times have sunk a winze to connect and make access internally in the mine possible. Driven entirely in granite there are few examples of blasting being used.
