Winder house and headframe. Occasionally the skip door locking system failed and that required an operative to sit in a tiny cabin below the sheave wheels and listen out for the "clunk" which indicated that the locks had gone on. If they didn''t the winder driver needed to know or else the skip would empty or jam under the load pocket. Meanwhile the feeder operator used explosives to clear any hang ups in the headframe orebin.....
