A view taken from the Tuxford tip tramway. At the top are the Back vein workings, in the middle the Old Vein (the flat ledge is floor A), and below that the hard over the New Vein workings. The retaining wall is over the Tuxford Incline and constructed to protect the incline from the extremely dodgy layer here between Old and New veins - exposed to the weather, it frequently collapsed. The foot of the Tuxford was on floor C, which was at one time open like the rest. The roof of another New vein chamber can be seen on the extreme reight, below the Cooke's level leading to Maenofferen, with its deccaying drainage pipe.
