This view shows the HIK buildings at bottom, the leftmost opening is the old K Trwnc building, then the old stairs chamber. The quarry floor was about halfway between F and G at this time. The building at the top is Old Bonc Siafft Mill, with the vertical balance shaft behind it. You can just see the top of the tree which grew literally at the top of the shaft. The other half-dismantled building is the New Bonc Siafft Mill. Both have gone now, quarried away. In 2000 I saw the vertical shaft exposed for half its depth by the quarrying operations.
