Unteres Lager 1914, bolting and Whales

Working this part of the Unteres Lager (bottom slate bed) was finished in 1914. The bolting looks impressive. The Whales are a distinctive geological feature in this mine and are exposed over a distance of some 320 metres in this working. This photo shows the other end of the working featured in the photo 'The Whales'.
