early workings possibly from as early as 1500 according to Trevelyan papers extensively landscaped and flattened and built on, this might be the only remaining 4 closely spaced lodes no sign of pumping or winding on the east, possibly all workings by old mens, many shallow workings revealed by drilling also extensively planted for game cover 19c
