This appears to have been the coal drawing shaft with its screens attached to The Headstock Housing. This always had a rather "ready to fall down appearance" to the screens. The Headstock also had a twisted appearance as it originally faced the opposite way. This picture shows the spot lamps have already been removed (They went to Eppleton colliery) meaning it doesn''t have long.
