Snipes Dean Pit (Gibside Pit) - looking down what is left of the drift.

Looking down the drift, it looks like bricks from the nearby Lilly brick works have been used to form the original arching. The new brick is by the National Trust who have made a feature of this old drift in their Gibside property.
