Shaft, Nant y Car South mineTaken from the old mine tramroad, this is the engine shaft on the 19th century Nant y Car South mine (copper, lead and zinc), with the balance-bob pit on the left of the rectangular shaft (which is still open) and the ruins of the winding house on the right.
