Roughly same view taken September 2016

The buildings to the right have been swept away, However the Shaft (to the right) was still used for pumping Mine water, The site still has quite a few buildings remaining to the left, The substantial wall is a rare survivor along with the water tower of the Pit Baths, which sadly the rest of the baths was demolished a number of years ago. The former mass of railway lines that was in the fore view has been removed and tarmacked over. a number of Garage workshops occupies most of the site now.
