Lethans Colliery sunk by the Wilson Coal Co and worked 1903 to 1916. thr remains have winding gear footings for two shafts and Guibal fan housing. A large waste heap is also on site. A rail link form Steelend was built by Mcalpine and the route is stiil obvious today. remains of houses, weighing house and older ironstone pits can also be found at this site.
