Poldice Tramroad

Who needs a scale? These rails are precisely 36 inches long. Fitting like a hand in a glove, this Outram rail from the Croydon Merstham and Godstone Iron Railway in Surrey is used to demonstrate how plate rails were laid onto the stone setts. Don't go looking for it - it was only there for a few minutes! This section of the Poldice Tramroad is near St. Day but I cannot be sure exactly where, except that I doubt I would have carried it far from the road!
