Old Bank Quarries

Taken sometime after 1910, behind the telegraph pole and set into a cutting in the quarry face is the upper part of small brick and concrete structure. This was a small fanhouse and was likely a Single Inlet Sirocco fan powered by an electric motor. This would have ventilated the Old Bank area of the mine after goafing cut off its links to New Bank, Upsal and the Trustee areas.
