I wasn''t sure if anything was left but came away quite surprised, The former Mine is now someone''s allotment, The old shaft has the usual concrete plug covering the hole. There appears to have been some recent demolition judging by all the bricks (wonder what it was?). This shaft is very close to the edge which slightly defies modern logic, though possibly the hole was sunk 1st, then the wall was built bringing it upto the railway level?
