New Engine / East Grit Engine House

The 1860s East Grit Engine house, probably built by John Taylor & Sons who worked the mine in the 1860s, although New Engine shaft was sunk by Messrs Lewis & Phillips in 1825. Note the large flywheel slot in the Northern (left-hand) wall.
