Mount Wellington Wellington's new adit, constructed after the failure and unstable nature of the old adit. A collapse under the road from Bissoe to Twelveheads caused the road to close whilst the company did a cut and cover job on the adit. They layed 30 odd metres of spun concrete rings creating a very strong outfall for the mine water which, at the height of working, carried 8,000,000 gallons of water per day. No treatment, just sent straight into the Carnon River. Mamiya 645 with Ilford Pan F Roll film
