Not much to see here but the walk from Simonsbath along the River Barle is a pleasant diversion. It is reputedly the scene of a murder in the 1850s when a local disposed of his daughter's body down the main shaft. Said murderer was a William Burgess, who was executed at Taunton jail in 1858.
