Remains of the offices lie between the road on the open cut on the lode. These were where George Borrow sheltered on his way to Devil's Bridge, (he refers to them as the "mining Compting Room") during his 1854 Wild Wales tour and was told, when asked the name of the mine 'Potosi, the richest in all Wales'.
