Mine Hoist House

The Nordberg Steam Hoist at Quincy Mine is bathed in the late afternoon Winter sun. Within the building is the world's largest steam hoist, constructed to bring copper ore up from depths over 9,000 feet in the #2 Shaft of the Quincy Mine. Courtesy National Park Service (NPS)
