Unbelievably it is now 45 years since the Lofthouse colliery disaster in which seven men lost their lives. I took a series of pictures around 1979/80 of which this is one. To the memory of: Frederick William Armitage, Colin Barnaby, Frank Billingham, Sydney St. Clair Brown, Charles Andrew Cotton, Edward Finnegan and Alan Haigh.
