Llanrwst mine is possibly unique in the whole country in that it used a power take off from the pump rods in Endeans Shaft to drive a power train that communicated with another pumping bob in New Shaft. This arrangement is still in situ but was damaged by a fall of material in Endeans Shaft in the 1990s.
