Kilton Viaduct. View from the embankment over towards Skinningrove and the Loftus Mines. Originally a 13 span single track viaduct. Subsidence caused by mining placed it under threat and it was subsequently strengthened by the tipping of waste shale around it, largely from Liverton, and now stands as a huge embankment. The line is still in use today by traffic to Boulby Potash.
