Lambton sidings

That rather large lump, built up area shows up as Reservoir on the 1850s map, an overgrown lumpy place but probably hides many old relics from its mining past, will need Time Team and a Digger though. This is the Lambton Line to originally Sunderland, but was later terminated at Herrington Colliery. the line also swung behind the picture (still bares the railway marks) and onto Houghton Colliery.
