Lots of Brickwork and its quite deep, but partly backfilled. The Workmen nearby didn''t know what it was either, The Former Hazlerigg Colliery was further North, One of its shafts is now a pumping station, whether this was for the mines or the nearby well (The well appears to have been backfilled with no trace), However how it worked or why it had been left remains a mystery. If you know anything about it please do tell.
