Holding up the boulder.

To prevent the boulder "slipping" (?) the eastern end was supported by a massive slab retaining wall built up on an original wall already in place. The slabbing can be seen on the left, the slabs on the left bottom being just above the old G floor level, which here was slabbed around to protect it. There was also an electricity substation here.
