Not a great deal to look at but at least it hasn''t been dug down and capped then backfilled without trace. A rather untidy concrete lump plug, It doesn''t look to be a huge shaft and no "old Shaft" plate either. The site foreman hadn''t a clue what it was and there is another shaft nearby. sadly not sure which shaft this was, Mary or Fanny?
