This is the Fron-Boeth tunnel, about 200m from the main workings.It was built to connect the Pant Mawr and Fron-Boeth workings to the Croesor tramway, thus removing the need to uphaul material merely to drop it down a double pitch incline on the other side of the ridge. The adit is partially collapsed, but access can still be gained.
