Foot of tuxford - photographer unknown

A view looking down the "old" Tuxford incline which only lifted from floor C as far as Diffwys Floor 0 - in use ca 1898-1912 when it was supplanted by the "New" Tuxford lifting to Diffwys Floor 3. Foot of incline looks a bit messy - esp lh track - perhaps there has been a fall. In ch 3, the track curving off to the left goes to the mills and was the main route until the state of the bon (quarry face) above caused it to be rerouted through the old north level. Track branching to the right goes through the wall into ch4 to serve the New Robey.
